A Madison, Tennessee, woman was charged with assaulting a police officer on Wednesday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say a man drove to the police department because 28-year-old Kyrah Jones would not get out of his vehicle and she had previously been given a court order to have no contact with him.

While being arrested, she reportedly dropped to the ground, braced her legs against the cruiser, then kicked an officer in the back.

Jones was arrested and charged with third-degree assault of a police officer, alcohol intoxication in a public place, resisting arrest, and violation of conditions of release.
