An Oak Grove man was charged with drug possession after a traffic stop on Thompsonville Lane in Oak Grove Wednesday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Jason Evitts after several traffic violations and during the stop, a white substance believe to be meth was around his gear shifter.
He reportedly at first gave his brother’s identifying information as his own but was found to have an active warrant for probation violation out of Tennessee under his real name.
Deputies say he admitted to throwing a dollar bill containing meth at the center console during the traffic stop.
He was arrested and charged with fugitive from another state, possession of meth, tampering with physical evidence, operating on a suspended or revoked license, disregarding compulsory turn lane, failure to or improper signal, careless driving, improper or no windshield.
