The grandstands and box seats were filled on Friday and Saturday night for the Christian County Cattleman’s Lonestar Rodeo at the Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds in Hopkinsville.
Rodeo committee co-chair Brandon Garnett says everything came together to make this year’s rodeo one of the best.

click to download audioThe Christian County Cattleman’s Lonestar Rodeo is held annually on the third weekend in August to raise money for scholarships and to support youth events on Friday and Saturday nights. Saturday night nine scholarships were presented by the Christian County Cattleman’s Association totaling $18,000, with two one-thousand dollar scholarships presented in memory of Fred Garnett by his family.
