Major renovations and upgrades are coming for the 55-year-old Lake Barkley State Resort Park in Trigg County.
Additional details on the coming projects were shared by Park Manager Ashley Joiner during a Trigg County Chamber of Commerce Lunch & Learn on Thursday afternoon.
In recent months, officials have completed a water/sewer line project, Phase I & II of structural repairs, interior lodge room renovations, and an airport runway lighting project.
Joiner said one of the ongoing projects is the Blue Springs Creek Restoration Project, which is helping clear out debris near Boots Randolph Golf Course.

After Labor Day weekend, the lodge portion will be closed, but cabins/cottages, the fitness center, Boots Randolph Golf Course, the trails, and Windows on the Water will remain open.
In January, the restaurant and cabins/cottages will close for renovations. Joiner is hoping the major renovations will be completed by late summer or early fall of 2026.
