A Hopkinsville man was charged after he failed to stop for law enforcement on Butler Road in Hopkinsville on Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop a moped driven by 24-year-old Ricky Sanders at East 1st Street and Greenville Road, and he failed to stop.
Law enforcement reportedly followed Sanders, who was going under the speed limit, before he ran off the road and into a ditch on Butler Road.
An ambulance was called to check on Sanders before he was taken to jail and charged with third-degree fleeing or evading police, failure to or improper signal, disregarding a stop sign, and reckless driving.
