Woman Charged With Drug Possession During Traffic Stop

A traffic stop on Cypress Street led to drug charges for a Hopkinsville woman Sunday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Destiny McIntyre for her not wearing a seat belt and failing to use a turn signal.

During the stop, she was reportedly found to have no operator’s license, no insurance, an open bottle of alcohol, and suspected meth.

She was arrested and charged with no operator’s license, first-degree possession of a controlled substance second offense, DUI, failure to or improper signal, no insurance, and failure to wear seat belts.
