A traffic stop on US 68 in Trigg County led to drug charges for a Bowling Green man Thursday night.

Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 43-year-old William Anderson for his headlight being out, and during the stop, he was nervous and had expired registration.

He reportedly gave consent to search the vehicle, and 2.7 ounces of suspected meth, a digital scale, used and new syringes, $5,209 in cash, and a glass smoking pipe were found.

Deputies say he told them he was taking the drugs to someone and had done it before.

Anderson was arrested and charged with one headlight being out, trafficking meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
