A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting his girlfriend after an argument on Kailie Lane in Hopkinsville Wednesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 25-year-old Dalton Lewis hit his girlfriend in the face and then choked her, leading to significant swelling and bruising over her face and neck.
He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault and first-degree strangulation.
