Fort Campbell will conduct a full-scale, post-wide emergency preparedness exercise on Wednesday and Thursday.
The annual training event is designed to test the installation’s response to realistic crisis scenarios and improve coordination among agencies.
The exercise will involve increased activity from both military and civilian first responders, including law enforcement, medical teams, and emergency management personnel.
Residents and visitors can expect to see more first responder vehicles, personnel in action, and digital signage directing traffic away from designated training areas.
Officials say the training is the result of extensive planning and collaboration among Fort Campbell’s partners and serves as a key tool for assessing readiness and ensuring the safety of everyone on post.
Despite the exercise, emergency services will remain available. Anyone experiencing a real emergency during the training period should continue to call 911 as usual.
