KET To Air Fancy Farm Coverage After KY Chamber Assist

In a reversal of fortunes, KET will once again broadcast live coverage of the annual Fancy Farm political picnic, thanks to a donation from the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.

The statewide network had previously announced it would not cover this year’s event due to the loss of federal funding under the Rescissions Act. The Chamber’s support allows KET to continue its decades-long tradition of airing the iconic political gathering.

Live coverage of the 2025 Fancy Farm speeches begins Saturday, August 2, at 2:30 p.m. ET / 1:30 p.m. CT on KET. Renee Shaw will host the broadcast, joined by political analysts Bob Babbage and Trey Grayson.

KET will also air a highlights program Monday, August 3, at 8/7 p.m.

The Fancy Farm picnic, held annually in Graves County near Mayfield, is one of the most well-known political events in Kentucky, drawing elected officials, candidates, and crowds from across the state.

KET, or Kentucky Educational Television, reaches more than two million viewers weekly with educational programming, news, and public affairs.
