A Hopkinsville man, along with a Paducah man and woman, were charged with trafficking drugs after a multiple-agency investigation on Friday.
McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies say 34-year-old Travis Lacy of Hopkinsville was seen delivering meth in Paducah at a business at 144 County Park Road. A hidden compartment in his vehicle was reportedly found to have a loaded gun and money inside it as well.
Deputies say in a separate investigation that is also related, a traffic stop at 5300 Cairo Road in Paducah reportedly led to them finding packaged for distribution meth and marijuana, along with a digital scale, a handgun, cash, and more drugs inside a hotel room at the same location.
Deputies say that the traffic stop led to the arrest of 34-year-old Nathan Bledsoe and 35-year-old Ashley Higginbotham; they are both charged with trafficking meth, possession of marijuana, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and tampering with physical evidence.
Bledsoe was also charged with second or greater offense for trafficking meth due to two prior convictions of trafficking meth and a conviction for possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Lacy was also arrested in Paducah and charged with trafficking meth second or greater offense, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property – handgun, and operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license.
Deputies say the investigation led to the seizure of approximately two pounds of meth, more than $10,000 in suspected drug money, and two firearms. Deputies say more meth was also found after the search of a Hopkinsville home.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office led the operation in partnership with the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Paducah Police Department, and the Hopkinsville Police Department.
