A fire in a vacant room at an assisted living facility on Richard Street led to an evacuation of the building early Friday morning.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Battalion Chief Marc London says a mattress was found on fire in a room that was not being used at Christian County Manor.
One person was reportedly checked out by EMS but did not want to go to the hospital.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
