Pennyrile Electric announced a significant planned power outage set for Sunday at 12:01 AM.
Officials said the outage is necessary for critical infrastructure upgrades within the Pee Dee Substation and will impact 2,304 of their members in portions of southern Trigg and Christian counties.
During the four-hour outage, crews will be busy installing new regulators within the substation. Simultaneously, two poles located just outside the substation will be replaced.
Affected members were contacted earlier this week, providing them with advance notice of the upcoming disruption.
