Trigg County Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges

A traffic stop on Edgewood Drive in Trigg County led to drug charges for a Cadiz woman Friday night.

Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by Jake Taylor for careless driving, and during the stop, the odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle.

Taylor’s passenger 43-year-old Jolene Kennedy reportedly told deputies she had a bag of marijuana under her seat, after a search the marijuana along with suspected meth, and drug paraphernalia were found in her purse.

Taylor was cited to court, and the vehicle was towed due to no insurance. Kennedy was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and meth.
