Christian County Judge Executive Jerry Gilliam has officially endorsed U.S. Congressman Andy Barr in his bid for U.S. Senate. The announcement came Monday morning, with Gilliam calling Barr the ideal partner for Christian County and Western Kentucky.
Gilliam, who has served as Judge Executive since 2023, highlighted Barr’s record supporting Kentucky farmers, law enforcement, veterans, and small businesses. Barr recently visited Hopkinsville as part of his Senate campaign.
In response, Barr said he was honored to receive Gilliam’s support and pledged to continue advocating for Kentucky’s values, including protecting Second Amendment rights, expanding crop insurance, and supporting family farms.
Gilliam, a Christian County native and Murray State University graduate, has been a local leader in agricultural development and helped establish the state’s first Agri Technology Program.
