The annual Cooling Our Communities campaign through Pennyrile Allied Community Services and the Edge Media Group saw a record number of fans and money raised to help those in need of ways to keep their homes cooler this summer.
At Monday’s Fan-ale at the WKDZ/WHVO studios, it was announced that 220 fans and three window air units had been donated in June through this year’s campaign. It’s a program that PACS Community Services Director Krista Groves says is unfortunately needed, as people are forced to make hard choices on a limited budget.
