Officials with Broadbent’s Country Hams confirmed Tuesday morning they will be a major participant in Trigg County’s inaugural efforts for the 2025 Arts & Eats Series — a three-event soiree with one stop in October.

Set to benefit the Janice Mason Art Museum, guests will get a unique cultural and culinary experience this fall with this second “Arts & Eats” event, The Art of the Country Ham, planned for Saturday, October 4, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

This exclusive evening will be held at the historic Main Street home of Todd and Melissa Wallace in Cadiz. The restored 1890 Queen Anne Victorian will serve as the backdrop for a celebration of Trigg County’s most iconic export—country ham.

Designed as a prelude to the annual Trigg County Country Ham Festival, the event features a curated blend of Kentucky heritage, food, music, and art. Guests will enjoy themed appetizers, bourbon tastings, and a guided culinary experience led by a renowned chef and country ham expert. The evening also includes beer and bourbon pairings from a local distiller and brewery owner.

In addition to the food and drink, guests can tour the Wallace home and view a private art collection gathered from international travels. Organizers say the event will explore how the tradition of curing country ham is itself a form of art—and a central part of the region’s culture.

Live music will add to the evening, with bluegrass and contemporary classical performances enhancing the Kentucky atmosphere. Valet parking will be available for guests’ convenience.

Attendance is limited to just 40 guests. Tickets are $150 per person, or $400 for the full three-event “Arts & Eats” series. Proceeds support programming at the Janice Mason Art Museum.

The museum encourages those interested to reserve early due to the limited availability. For more information or to secure a spot, visit the JMAM website or contact the museum directly.
