Nearly 34,000 fairgoers passed through the Western Kentucky State Fair during the nine-day run, with the fair wrapping up Saturday night with UCW Wrestling, the beef cattle show, and a midway full of thrill seekers.
Fair Board President Kent Boyd says 3,017 patrons attended the fair Saturday night, down from 6,245 in 2024. One of the major factors in Saturday’s decline in attendance was a thunderstorm that dumped more than 4 inches of rainfall on Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds. Major flooding problems in the track and pit area forced the cancellation of Saturday night’s Mid-south Truck and Tractor Pulls. The beef cattle show, UCW Wrestling in the convention center, and the Drew Amusement midway all continued Saturday evening.
For 2025 33,954 visitors passed through the fair gates this year compared to 42,019 in 2024.
Plans are already underway for the 75th Western Kentucky State Fair that is planned for next summer.
