Military & First Responder Day At Western Kentucky State Fair

The Western Kentucky State Fair will say thanks to members of the military and first responders Wednesday night, with mini rods and a sheep show among highlights.

click to download audioAttendance at the Western Kentucky State Fair continues to lag behind 2024, with the excessive heat thought to be one of the primary reasons. Tuesday night 2,506 patrons attended the fair, down from 2,972 on Tuesday night of 2024. For the week 18,874 visitors have passed through the gates of the fair, down from 22,149 in 2024.

Cloverville and Home and Garden exhibits can be entered Wednesday from 9 am until noon, with judging taking place in the afternoon. Gates to the fair open at 4:30, with rides opening at 5:00.

The 4-H/FFA Sheep show begins at 5:00 in the livestock barn, with pedal tractor pulls beginning at 6 in front of the convention center. Carter and Cash will perform shows at 6 8 inside the convention center, with the hot dog eating contest at 7. Mini Outlaw Pulls will take place at 7 at the grandstands.
