
Authorities remind the community of the city ordinances on fireworks within the city limits of Hopkinsville.
Hopkinsville Firefighters say anyone igniting fireworks should have a close water source, anyone under 18 years old must be supervised, and no fireworks should be aimed at other people, vehicles, or structures.
Fireworks can be used from July 1st through July 5th and December 31st through January 1st between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 a.m.
They should not be ignited within 200 feet of any vehicle, structure, or people.
