Funeral services for 78 year old Lillian Elizabeth Hodges will be 11:00am Saturday June 21, 2025 at Moores Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Friday June 20, 2025 from 5:00pm till 7:00pm at Adams and Sons Mortuary.
Lillian was born on December 1, 1946 to the late Thomas George Hodges and Lillian E. Hodges.
Lillian dedication to education was inspiring. She attended Booker T. Elementary School and graduated from Attucks High School in May 1964. She pursued a higher education as an adult, earning a bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame College in Cleveland, Ohio in May 1991 and later achieving her master’s degree in Adult Education from Cleveland State University in June 1997.
Lillian worked at Metropolitan Health Hospital until she retired in 1996 as the manager of the Radiology Business Office.
Lillian treasured her family and friends, and had a special ability to lift the mood in any situation and bring light into the lives of those around her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Torain and sister, Patricia Long.
Lillian leaves behind her beloved sisters, Doris Paul, Phyllis Kendrick, Barbra Whitfield and a host of nieces and nephews, and other close relatives and friends.
