Christian Way Farms in Christian County celebrated its one-hundred year anniversary on Tuesday by being named a Kentucky Heritage Farm.
The farm began in the early 1920’s, when World War I veteran Guy Corley used his bonus money from his service to purchase 350 acres of farmland in northern Christian County.
Unbeknownst to Corley, this land would transition into a place of faith and connection for families all over the world.
Corley’s son, Edwin, raised his six children on the property. One of these, Milton, along with his wife Janie, decided they would return to continue the legacy of the farm.
The year 2000 marked the first year that Christian Way Farms was opened to the public. Milton and Janie saw over two-thousand guests during their first open season.
Tuesday’s naming and presentation may have marked the 100th year for the Corley’s land, but it also represented the 25th year of Christian Way farms.
