The Trigg County High School Athletic Department is starting its Day of Giving campaign strong with a donation from the Cadiz Rotary Club.
Rotarians approved a $30,000 donation on Tuesday afternoon, following a second question-and-answer session with Athletic Director Doug Gloyd and Superintendent Rex Booth.
The Day of Giving will take place on Wednesday, July 16, and Gloyd is seeking to raise funds to help upgrade a growing list of items he would like to see improved across the district’s sports facilities and to allow free admission for students.
Among the list of projects to fund are: new padding for the high school gymnasium, update landscaping at the football field, improve the fence at the football field, and provide roll-away goals for the soccer fields, among others.
The Day of Giving will kick off on the WKDZ Country Club from 8:30 to 9:00 AM on 106.5 WKDZ. For more information, you can contact Gloyd by calling (270) 522-2778.
