The Kentucky Association of County Agricultural Agents is hosting its statewide meeting in Hopkinsville this week.
Lyon County Ag Agent Jay Stone said the meeting will bring ag and horticulture agents from across the Commonwealth to the region.
Stone added that this is an ideal time to showcase Western Kentucky’s agricultural sector.
Several tours are scheduled for the agricultural agents.
Stone added that there is a stark difference in the agriculture scene in our region and across the state.
During his interview on the WKDZ Morning Ag Report Monday morning, Stone also mentioned that spring crops have some holes in them due to recent flooding, but the corn crop appears to be one of the better ones he’s seen lately.
Stone also spoke about the ‘Kentucky Ag Matters’ podcast, which this week features an interview with Christian County Ag Agent Matt Futrell.
