Before being auctioned off in late July, a special event honoring Will Hargrove and Bar B Que Shack II will be held in the Herndon community.
Bar B Que Shack owner Mindy Hargrove said the event will take place Friday, June 27, from 5:00 to 7:00 and feature Christian County Historian William Turner.
Mindy added that Will’s restaurant left a legacy in the community.
The property at Knockum Hill will be auctioned off by Hoover’s Auctions and Real Estate on Saturday, July 26, starting at 9:00 AM.
Mindy expressed her hopes for the space.
Mindy, with the help of Jeremy and Tabitha Strader, opened the location in August 2023, but a fire caused a temporary closure from August to December 2024. Her last day of business will be Saturday, June 28.
