Even with an ongoing buzz of activity at the Trigg County Spec Building in the Interstate 24 Business Park, a buyer has yet to emerge.

South Western Kentucky EDC Director Carter Hendricks discussed the recent process and current status during Thursday’s Lunch and Learn, sponsored by the Trigg County Chamber of Commerce.

Hendricks expressed confidence that Trigg County’s spec building would replicate the success of similar projects in the region.

During the Lunch and Learn, Hendricks also detailed the process he, Sharon Butts, and Tony Prim follow when projects express interest in locating to Kentucky.

Hendricks noted that companies interested in Kentucky are probably also considering other locations.

He added that during the process, the information they receive must remain confidential.

To prevent undue panic among a company’s existing workforce or to keep information from competitors, Hendricks emphasized the importance of confidentiality.

He warned that a breach of this trust could cost the community the industry, as other locations could then leverage the same tactics to secure the business for themselves.
