On the second Saturday of June 2025, which coincided with Flag Day and the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army, VFW Post 7890 in Cadiz held its monthly breakfast to honor local veterans.
Jonathan Prudhomme, the usual Bingo announcer, was one of three volunteers who cooked breakfast for over 20 veterans.
Prudhomme added they are honored to provide this community outreach for local veterans on the second Saturday morning of each month from 8:00 to 10:00.
The Cadiz VFW post offers Bingo every Monday at 6:00 PM, except on federal holidays.
Among the more than 20 veterans who enjoyed breakfast on Saturday was Ronald Keller, who served two years in the Army.
Keller added that the monthly breakfast provides a wonderful opportunity to connect with others who have served our nation.
While donations are accepted during the breakfast, they are not required to enjoy the meal. VFW Post 7890 is located at 37 Lafayette Street in Cadiz.
