
A report of suspicious behavior at the Circle K on Segler Drive in Oak Grove led to drug charges for three people Wednesday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they got out with a vehicle driven by 48-year-old Edward Brauns of Clarksville and his passenger 47-year-old William Howse of Nashville attempted to run from law enforcement while trying to get rid of a gun.
Brauns reportedly tried to get rid of suspected fentanyl and cocaine as well. After a search of the vehicle and their belongings, deputies say marijuana, crack cocaine, THC, ecstasy, fentanyl, and psilocybin mushrooms were found.
Brauns was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, trafficking fentanyl, tampering with physical evidence, and third-degree possession of a controlled substance. Howse was arrested and charged with third-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, tampering with physical evidence, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking marijuana, possession of cocaine, and two counts of first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
A third passenger, 38-year-old Charity Seymour of Clarksville was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana
