Lake Barkley State Resort Park turns 55 this year, and as such, the public is invited to a full day of fun, games and celebration Saturday, June 14.
Beginning at 8 AM, there will be Party Hat Making at the Nature Center, and family-friendly events continue throughout — including balloon rocket races, turtle feeding and a special cake and memorabilia viewing from 12:30 until 3 PM in the Elizabeth Hooks Room.
Beginning at 1 PM, kids can enjoy face painting and a game of “Pin the Tail on the Beaver” on the Elizabeth Hooks Deck, and later in the evening, guests can make their own birthday candle at 5 PM and wrap they day with 7 PM B-I-N-G-O on the Upper Pool Patio.
All activities are free and open to the public.
