A Guthrie man was charged with fleeing from law enforcement and trafficking drugs during a traffic stop in Oak Grove Monday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 48-year-old Michael Mimms for an improper turn, and after failing a field sobriety test, he fled on foot.
He reportedly tried to get rid of a container of suspected crack cocaine, 4 grams of powder cocaine, and money.
Mimms was arrested and charged with improper turning, failure to give right of way to an emergency vehicle, DUI, second-degree fleeing or evading police, tampering with physical evidence, trafficking cocaine, resisting arrest, and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
