A Clarksville man was charged after assaulting a coworker at a gas station on Jolly Way in Cadiz Monday morning.
Cadiz Police Chief Tyler Thomas says they were called for a fight between 45-year-old Johnny Phillips and his coworker and found he had physically assaulted the man, hitting him with a fencing tool, then held a knife to his throat while claiming he would kill him.
Phillips reportedly fled the area in a company vehicle, leaving suspected marijuana and other drug paraphernalia on the ground.
Phillips was located by Oak Grove Police at the Pilot Travel Center on Fort Campbell Boulevard and taken into custody by Cadiz Police.
Phillips is charged with first-degree assault, possession of marijuana, and third-degree terroristic threatening.
