Minister Priscilla Ann Gamble Francis, 60, of Hopkinsville

Minister Priscilla Ann Gamble Francis, 60, Hopkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in Hopkinsville, KY.

Priscilla, the daughter of the late Simuel and Emma Gamble, was born on July 8, 1964, in Franklin, KY.

Pricilla was a member of Gainsville Little Zion Baptist Church, where she was ordained in the Ministry on December 6, 2021. She was the First Lady of the church, Secretary, and Administrative Assistant to the Pastor. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Christian counseling from Newburgh Theological Seminary. She is the author of her book, “Cooking with Mamma”.

Priscilla joined the Alpha Missionary Baptist Church at the age of 11. Priscilla was one of the original members of the Buds of Promise. As she grew older, she joined the Angelic Choir.

Priscilla met the love of her life at Alpha in the person of Pastor Joseph Francis. They were joined in Holy Matrimony for 43 years, and to this union they were blessed with two children, Derrisha (Bradden) Jones and Joseph Elexander Francis.

God called Pastor Joseph E. Francis and family to the Gainsville Little Zion Baptist Church, where she served alongside her husband for the past 30 years. She was a devoted helpmate to her husband and the church. Under the leadership of Pastor Francis and Minister Priscilla, many ministries were established, including the 8:00 a.m. worship service, 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services, the Emmanuel Women’s Ministry, the Titus 2 Sewing Ministry, and the Youth Ministry Program.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Simuel Gamble, Jr, Sister, LeeEtta Gamble, and nephew, Eric Gamble.

Survivors include her husband, Pastor Joseph Francis; Daughter, Derrisha (Bradden) Jones; Son, Joseph Elexander Francis; Sister, Bettye S. Bryant; 5 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at noon at the Alpha Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in the Shady Rest Cemetery in Franklin.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, June 3, at 4:00 p.m. at the Gainsville Baptist Church in Hopkinsville.
