A Hopkinsville man was charged with theft after a cell phone was taken on East 7th Street Saturday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called for 42-year-old Lowell Stevenson, who took a phone that was left in a bathroom at the Dollar General.
Stevenson was reportedly identified by the owner of the phone and called the store letting them know he was bring the phone back.
Stevenson was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking.
