This June, Kentucky is offering a 100% discount that’s hard to beat.

On June 7 and 8, fishing across the Commonwealth is completely free, no license or permit required, whether you’re from Louisville or just visiting from out of state.

It’s the perfect chance to introduce your family to the joy of fishing, or to get back out on the water yourself.

⚠️ A few rules still apply:

+ You must have permission to fish on private property.

+ And even though licenses are waived, size and creel limits still apply — so know the rules before you cast.

🎣 Communities statewide are hosting special events — especially for kids. Find one near you at fw.ky.gov, or by searching “Free Fishing Weekend Kentucky.”
