A Dawson Springs man was charged after a pursuit that started in Crofton and ended in Hopkins County Thursday night.
Kentucky State Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Johnney McKinney for a registration violation on Kentucky 800, and he fled, crossing into Hopkins County before driving off the road and down a trail, hitting a tree.
McKinney was taken into custody and then taken to the hospital to be checked out.
He is charged with speeding, reckless driving, disregarding a stop sign, failure to or improper signal, no insurance, first-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of marijuana, trafficking meth, DUI, and improper use of left lane.
