Residents of Trigg County who experienced damage from the May 16 and 17th severe storms and in Christian County who experienced flood damage in April could qualify for assistance from FEMA.
Public Affairs Specialist Kim Keblish said that assistance has been approved for those situations by President Donald Trump.
Keblish said this grant money does not have to be paid back and could help with home repairs or costs incurred from having to move out of your primary residence.
After applying for assistance, Keblish added that you will hear from a home inspector for further steps.
She encouraged full conversations with those inspectors to make sure you understand the following steps.
While you can apply for the FEMA resources online at DisasterAssistance.gov, in-person opportunities are available in Cadiz at the Trigg County EOC at 39 Jefferson Street and Hopkinsville at the Murray State Regional Campus located at 5305 Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Both locations are operating from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 to 7:00 PM.
