Trigg County Public Schools has officially welcomed James O. Gregory as the district’s new Director of Bands.
Gregory brings more than 20 years of experience in music education, including a highly successful tenure at Paducah Tilghman High School, where his bands earned distinguished ratings and reached the KMEA State Marching Band Semifinals.
His career also includes acclaimed work at Christian County, Apollo and Hopkinsville High Schools. Gregory has served in key leadership roles with the Kentucky Music Educators Association (KMEA), and is a recipient of the KMEA Citation for Service and the Phi Beta Mu Outstanding Young Band Director Award.
In a written statement, Gregory noted his goal is to continue the outstanding tradition and successes of the Trigg County Band, through the legacy of Alan Baker and Andrew Mroch, and that now, it’s his responsibility to “continue that legacy.”
A public meet-and-greet event for Gregory is scheduled for Friday, June 7, where students and families will have the chance to welcome him to the Wildcat community.
