While not receiving much in the way of rainfall early in the week, forecasters say additional rain chances are on the way Thursday.

Derrick Snyder, with the National Weather Service in Paducah, said scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible later in the day.

Snyder added another shower and storm chance comes Saturday night into Sunday.

Over the coming days, temperatures will climb toward the upper 70s, before dropping slightly Friday, and warming back up into the low 80s through the weekend.

Snyder added they are keeping an eye on an active weather pattern next weekend, which coincides with the 400 Mile Sale, sprawling across U.S. 68 in Kentucky.
