Hopkinsville Mayor J. R. Knight says after a great opening for Bluegrass Splash Water Park over the weekend, attention now turns to the downtown entertainment district.
Knight says based on all reports Bluegrass Splash had a very successful opening.
Mayor Knight says the entertainment district will soon open in downtown Hopkinsville.
He says bringing more people to downtown Hopkinsville is the ultimate goal.
The mayor also provided updates on the new firehouse that is under construction, the Hopkinsville Landfill, and trash collection routes in the city.
