Brenda Joiner Chambers, 78, of Hopkinsville, died at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Catherine DeMoss officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY she was born February 21, 1947 the daughter of the late Otis “Pete” Joiner and Sara Elizabeth Stapp Joiner. She was a retired social worker having worked for the Foster Care and Adoption System and the AHOY Youth Service Center at Hopkinsville Middle School. She was a member of First Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Glenda Schiesz.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years: Gayle Chambers; her children: Heather Chambers (Tyler) Kemp, Hillary Chambers (Chad) Sledd, and Heath (Heather Grace) Chambers all of Franklin, TN; her sister: Sara Beth (Randy) Morris of Hopkinsville, KY; and her grandchildren: Mara Perez, Mila Perez, and Mason Chambers.
