Trigg County Seniors Celebrate At Harper House For Closing Breakfast

Every year, Trigg County High School’s graduating class convenes for a cozy, congregate Senior Breakfast — one meant to fill minds, hearts and bellies before walking the Trigg County Wildcats Gymnasium stage that one final time.

Wednesday morning, three buses — at least one of them blaring rock music — rolled up US 68/80 and dropped off more than 100 students at Harper House, who through several sponsors has hosted the meal every spring since 2018.

Naturally, the dining room was frequently filled with celebratory noise.

Nelson Green, Harper House proprietor, said it was important to her to send each senior class off “the right way.”

And like many in Trigg County, she knows several students in this class — because some of them either co-op’ed with her, or work part-time in her restaurant.

For some students, it was their umpteenth time eating at Harper House.

For some others, it was their first.

Green said she’s pleased to offer the opportunity, even if it is just the one early-morning meal.

Selected by teachers, four Outstanding Trigg County Class of 2025 Seniors drew plenty of support.

Senior superlatives, selected by classmates were:
+ Best Friend Duo: Aidon Butts and Jaxson Clinkenbeard
+ Most Flirtatious: Joshaun Bridges and Hadley Bealmear
+ Most Musical: Mari Kate Ricks
+ Mr. & Mrs. Wildcat: Slayton Carter and Reese Bush
+ Most Artistic: Carmen Boyd
+ Most Likely To Succeed: Kristen Oakley and Lance Breckel
+ Most Likely To Become Famous: Gavin Alexander and Kyla Poltarak
+ Life Of The Party: Haydon Reynolds and Zoe Wynn
+ Drama King and Queen: Gentry Hyde and Lillie Cortner
+ Most Photogenic: Ivy Leuhring and Junior Knott
+ Most Athletic: Connor Long and Hallie Joiner

Zero dollars raised for Project Graduation were spent for this breakfast, thanks to Harper House, Michael Oliver and Wildcat Chevrolet, McNichols Heating & Cooling and other private donors.
