A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting a woman on Dell Drive during an argument Tuesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called for 47-year-old Charles Adkins, who got into a fight with a woman over a possible water leak and digging a trench in her yard when he choked her and grabbed her by the hair.
Adkins was arrested and charged with second-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault.
