Two Men Charged With Drug Possession

A traffic stop near Hillside Terrace in Hopkinsville led to drug charges for a Bowling Green man and a Cadiz man Monday.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle leaving a location tied to suspected drug activity and found meth, marijuana, gabapentin pills, and used needles inside the vehicle.

During the stop, a man they were looking for due to active warrants for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia 42-year-old Michael Keeling was inside the vehicle.

Keeling and the vehicle’s driver, 48-year-old Benji Cunningham, were arrested.

Keeling was charged with trafficking meth and Cunningham was charged with possession of meth, possession of marijuana, failure to or improper signal, and disregarding a stop sign, according to the Christian County Jail.

A K-9 officer with the Hopkinsville Police Department helped deputies in the investigation.
