In a story first reported by Kentucky Today, Crossroads Fellowship in Cadiz will host a three-day Student Camp from June 3–5, aiming to bring creativity, community, and Christ to local youth.
Designed as a daytime alternative to traditional overnight camps, the event blends relevant biblical teaching with engaging group activities and afternoon adventures.
The camp is part of a broader initiative by Crossroads’ student ministry to offer gospel-centered outreach in fresh and accessible ways. Organizers hope the experience will connect students with the message of Christ through meaningful relationships, creativity, and fun.
By shifting away from overnight lock-ins, the church seeks to create a safe, welcoming environment that still captures the excitement of a full camp experience.
A highlight of the camp will be a free concert by Nashville-based Christian rock band Spoken on the evening of Wednesday, June 4. Known for fusing rock, metal, and hardcore with a Jesus-centered message, Spoken brings a high-energy performance that resonates with youth audiences. While campers will attend the concert as part of the event, it is also open to the public.
The church hopes the concert will reach beyond its regular attendees, offering a bridge to students and young people who may feel disconnected from church life. Spoken sees their music as a ministry opportunity to share the gospel with those who might not otherwise hear it.
All events, including the concert, will take place at Crossroads Fellowship, located at 264 Commerce Street in Cadiz. Youth groups interested in attending can contact Pastor Matt Shown at mattshown@crossroadscadiz.com.
