
Officials with Christian County Public Schools have announced the keynote speakers for this year’s high school graduations.
Kevin Crider will speak at Christian County High School’s commencement, and Kim Batts will deliver the address for Hopkinsville High School. Both ceremonies are scheduled for Friday, May 23, at the Stadium of Champions.
Christian County High’s graduation begins at 5 PM, followed by Hopkinsville High at 8:30 PM.
A 1992 graduate of Christian County High, Crider has served the district for more than 25 years. His career includes roles as a teacher, head baseball coach, Athletic Director, and principal. He currently serves as Assistant Superintendent and was inducted into the CCHS Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007.
A 1990 CCHS alumna, Batts has worked in Christian County schools for 34 years. She currently teaches at Cumberland Hall School and is active in student leadership and community service. Her educational background includes degrees from Hopkinsville Community College, Austin Peay, Indiana Wesleyan, and WKU.
Both speakers were chosen by the student body of their respective schools.
