A teenager was found with a gunshot wound after a shooting on Forbes Drive that happened earlier in the morning on Thursday.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called just after midnight for a report of several shots fired and found an air conditioning unit that was hit once and one shell casing behind an apartment complex.
No one was found injured in the area, and no suspects were located. Police say just after 7 am, they were called for a 17-year-old who had been shot in the hip and was found at a home on Seminole Avenue.
The teenager was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for treatment.
The teenager had reportedly been hiding at a friend’s house. Police ask if you have any information about this incident to call the Hopkinsville Christian County Dispatch at 270-890-1300.
