Six Trigg Students Chosen For Academic Excellence Programs

One Trigg County High School student is joining the Gatton Academy for Math and Science, with five attending summer academic programs.

Trigg County Schools Superintendent Rex Booth says he is excited that Trigg County High School sophomore Kat Tellez was chosen to attend the Gatton Academy at Western Kentucky University.

Booth says Trigg County High School juniors were chosen to participate in the Governor’s Scholars program, with one chosen for the Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs.

click to download audioThe Governor’s Scholars program will be held at Murray State, Centre College, and Morehead State. The Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs will take place at Northern Kentucky University.
