A Cadiz man was charged with possession of drugs after a traffic stop on Cadiz Road at Eagle Way Friday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 36-year-old David Couch for going 28 mph over the speed limit and during the stop, he was found to have a DUI suspended license.

After a search of his belongings, suspected meth and fentanyl were reportedly located. Deputies say Couch told them he had tried to hide a bag of meth in his mouth.

Couch was arrested and charged with possession of meth second offense, possession of fentanyl, driving-DUI suspended license third offense, tampering with physical evidence, and speeding.
