An Oak Grove man was charged with spitting blood at officers on Thompsonville Lane in Oak Grove Sunday afternoon.
Oak Grove Police say they were called to check on 45-year-old David Lynch, who was sleeping in a running vehicle in a parking lot and appeared to be intoxicated.
Officers reportedly turned the vehicle off, then woke him, and he started to resist arrest and fought with officers over the keys.
Police say he was taken to the ground and then started spitting blood on them, even after being warned he would be charged with assault.
Lynch was arrested and charged with third-degree terroristic threatening, alcohol intoxication in a public place, resisting arrest, and third-degree assault of a police officer.
