The Christian County Grand Jury issued several indictments Friday, including on charges of fleeing from police and wanton endangerment.

A true bill was returned on William Waters of Hopkinsville for violation of a foreign emergency protection/domestic violence order and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

According to Hopkinsville Police, Waters poured lighter fluid all over the living room with his two daughters inside a North O’Neal home, then bent down to the ground with a lighter and attempted to set the living room on fire on March 4.

He was arrested and lodged in the Christian County Jail.

Tyler Kozlowski of Pulaski, Wisconsin, was indicted on multiple charges, including first-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, receiving stolen property over $1,000, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense with an aggravator attached.

The charges are from March 5, when the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office joined Kentucky State Police in a pursuit of an SUV driven by Kozlowski around the US 68 exit. Law enforcement said the pursuit reached speeds of 130 mph and ended at the 76-mile marker when a deputy used a precision immobilization technique to stop the vehicle. Police said Kozlowski fought with law enforcement officers before he was taken into custody and lodged in the Christian County Jail.

The grand jury also indicted an Evansville, Indiana, man after a pursuit on I-169 in February 2023.

A true bill was returned on Lamont Barnes on charges of first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree attempted assault of a police officer, and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

Barnes is accused of fleeing from Kentucky State Police as they attempted to stop a vehicle around the I-169 and I-24 interchange. Police said the pursuit reached speeds of 120 mph and ended around the 32-mile marker of I-169 when Barnes’ car ran off the road and collided with another vehicle.  Barnes was arrested and booked into the Christian County Jail.
